Music has always been a major
interest in my life. My Mother sang to me from the very beginning. At the age of two
I picked out the melody, “You Are My Sunshine”
It was apparent that God had chosen
to bless me with the ability to play ‘by ear’ and at the age of six I started piano
lessons. I took piano lessons through most of my grade school years. When I was in
7th grade, I realized my personal need of a Saviour and accepted Jesus
Christ. My desire was to use my music for His honor and glory. When I was in high
school, I started playing the piano for church services and giving specials. I
studied piano and organ at Omaha Baptist Bible College in Omaha, Nebraska (now
known as Faith Baptist Bible College, Ankeny Iowa.) One summer during my college
years I had the privilege of accompanying a touring music group.
I have taken lessons on various
other instruments through my life but the piano and organ have remained my favorites.
My musical style can be described
as ‘easy listening’. Music that can be enjoyed ‘in the background’ or music you can
sing to. These arrangements are my own. The melody is easily identified in each
one.
I played the various instruments
used on the recordings. The finest digital instruments were used. A six-foot Kawai
Grand Piano was used to play the first track of piano music and the accompanying
instruments played the various arrangements. This was recorded as God gave me the
ability to hear the various parts.
My purpose in making these
recordings is first to honor the God that has given this talent, and then to bring
joy and delight to the ears of each listener.
